4 Months

My baby is four months old today! We took him to the pediatrician for a checkup and everything is great. We've really been working at getting his poor, flat head to round out and the doctor was very pleased with our efforts. I was nervous about how he would do with getting his shots, but I worried for nothing. He rocked it. He let out one little yelp when the nurse stuck him with the needle, but he was done crying before she even had the band-aids on. Today's Stats:

Weight: 14 lbs. 7 oz. (30th percentile)

Height: 26 1/4 inches (93rd percentile)

Here are some things I love about my baby at this stage:

*He interacts with us so much more these days. I love that he follows us with his eyes when we leave or come into the room.
*His giggles and smiles melt my heart.
*He is a good sleeper at night (lately he's been sleeping from about 9:30 to 6:30ish). And he's getting better at taking naps.
*He's getting close to rolling over from his back to his stomach. His arm gets in his way and then he gets frustrated, but it's exciting to watch him try.
*His newest thing is when he's eating (whether nursing or taking a bottle), he'll stop and make eye contact with me or Brandt, give us a smile, and then go back to his meal. It's like he's checking to make sure we're still there.
*He's found his hands and discovered they taste pretty good. And they must be pretty tasty for how much he sucks on them.
*His hair is getting longer! He's still quite the baldy but it was like overnight his hair grew a ton.

We are having a ton of fun with our little pot sticker. It is so fun to watch him grow and discover the world around him.
