Book Review: Jesus the Christ

Jesus the Christ
By James E. Talmage

Four years later I finally finished it! I'm patting myself on the back for that one. Brandt and I originally set out to read this book together while he was on his mission back in 2005. That didn't work out, but I persevered. It has been a challenge, but what a great book. There was a lot that I didn't understand so I learned a lot from reading it. Brandt and I were gospel doctrine teachers in our ward about two years ago so I used this book a lot when I had to teach the New Testament, especially when we taught about the parables. If any of you want a deeper understanding of Christ's parables, there is an index in the back of the book and you can look them up; I learned so much more in depth information about them that way. Overall, this was a great way to learn more about my Savior and His life. I hope to read it again someday. Maybe a little bit faster next time. :)

Bryan just finished it. He loved it and has started it again. Someday when I feel smart enough I will read it. Maybe while Sam is on his mission.
